Dental implants usually consist of three parts – the dental implant post, abutment, and custom dental implant crown. Dental implant posts mimic your natural roots and integrate with your jawbone after a period of healing.
An abutment is a seat to hold your dental crown. Your abutment screws into your dental implant and provides support for your dental crown, which we permanently attach to the abutment.
Dental implants are the most convenient way to replace missing teeth. Not only do they look like your natural teeth, but they also provide the same health benefits that your teeth provide, including bone retention, convenience, and esthetics. These make dental implants the most popular choice to replace missing teeth.
We can use dental implants to anchor your dentistry, such as dental bridges and dentures. This adds stability to dentistry for patients missing multiple teeth. Opting for dental implant-retained dentistry allows you to combine the economic choice of dentures or a bridge with the stability of dental implants.
For dental implants, you must have the appropriate bone levels to secure your dental implant. We use 3-D cone beam technology for the most accurate evaluation of your bone.

We don’t blame you. If you pay for something, you want it now.
Not to mention that temporary restorations can come loose and create problems – something that no one needs, especially with busy schedules.
At Northview Dental of Kokomo, we offer a fast solution for dental restorations that provides exceptional quality. We use CEREC technology, which takes advantage of computer-aided design and manufacture to create high-quality restorations in our office while you wait.
You do not need to compromise esthetics when it comes to CEREC. Our dentists take great care to match your restoration with your natural teeth, giving your smile a seamless appearance. The entire process is overseen by our skilled and experienced dentists, so you get a durable and attractive restoration in one dental office visit. In many cases, we can even create restorations for emergency dental visits.

Unlike most dental offices, we welcome your kids from their very first dental visit. We recommend, based on the American Academy of Pediatrics, that you bring your child into our office within six months of their first tooth eruption or by their first birthday, whichever comes first.
This may seem early to some people, but we cannot stress enough the importance of these early dental visits. Not only do they give us a chance to discuss important aspects of your child’s oral health with you, the parent, but they also create a positive foundation for your child’s future smile.
We make dentistry a fun and interactive experience for your child. We explain things in a way they can understand and make sure we go at their pace. Early dental visits can make the difference in the future of your child’s oral health. Development, home care habits, and preventive care are all important when your child is young.
Our dental office is family-oriented and caters to making dental treatment comfortable and successful for patients of any age.

Many people suffer from jaw pain and headaches associated with jaw disorders. We recognized this as a real problem for many of our patients, and our dentists sought the necessary education and training to be able to provide our patients relief from TMJ pain with splint therapy and additional treatments.
Jaw problems can come and go for some people, while others suffer from lifelong pain, popping, locking, migraines, headaches, neck aches, shoulder pain, ringing in the ears, and even numbness. It is important to address these conditions before your jaw sustains irreparable damage.
Our dentists create custom splints (similar to nightguards) that help your jaw muscles relax, seat your joints correctly, and allow inflammation to subside. This alone can end the cycle of jaw pain and swelling.
We also evaluate your bite – both your teeth and dentistry and how your upper and lower jaw come together. By adjusting your bite, we can also assist with jaw joint health.
In some cases, surgery or orthodontics can provide a long-term solution. But in most cases, we can treat TMJ cases right here in our Kokomo dental office.
If you suffer from jaw pain and headaches, give us a call! We help improve our patients’ quality of life through effective TMJ treatment.
If you are afraid of the dentist, we want you to know that you are not alone.
When we first got started, we noticed that many patients had dental fears or anxiety associated with their dental appointments. We decided that we wanted to help fearful patients get the care they need to stay healthy, so our dentists received the training necessary to offer sedation dentistry in our Kokomo dental office.
We offer a mild form of sedation called nitrous oxide. Nitrous oxide is also known as laughing gas and provides some sedative effects. It is safe to use for most patients – even kids!
We also offer oral sedation. Oral sedation requires the use of prescription medication to achieve deeper levels of sedation than are possible with nitrous oxide alone. We will monitor you closely during treatment, making sure you stay relaxed and comfortable.
We will perform a full medical evaluation to determine that you are safe enough for oral sedation. This is popular with patients who have dental anxiety, a strong gag reflex, or difficulty getting numb.
You will have little to no memory of your treatment and feel completely relaxed. Sedation medication is effective, so you will need someone to drive you home from your appointment.
If you have something that makes you feel self-conscious when you smile, you have come to the right place! We help patients improve both their health and their appearance every day. Your smile is an important part of who you are, and we want to make sure you feel great about it!
If you have small changes you would like to make, we offer cosmetic dental bonding, teeth whitening, and tooth-colored restorations. For a whole new look, you may find that porcelain veneers provide you with the uniform and perfect smile you have always wanted!
We recommend that you get started with a cosmetic dentistry consultation with one of our experienced dentists. They can go over what you would like to change about your smile, what your desired outcome is, and how we can best go about getting you a smile that makes you proud of your appearance.
We always put your oral health first and will determine if your teeth and gums are healthy enough for cosmetic dentistry. An oral evaluation will help us identify any underlying issues that should be addressed before we create your new look. Healthy gums are essential!
We can’t wait to see your smile!
